Where Dreams and Reality Converge

Introduction: Somewhere between wakefulness and sleep, dreams blur into reality. This poem explores the beauty and mystery of that in-between space, where the past, present, and imagined worlds intertwine. To dream beyond the world’s design, Yet wait in hope for fate’s soft chime, Breeds regret in idle minds, As time erodes what dreams define. Reality’s grip is sharp and clear, Far from the glow of wishful cheer; Yet each bold step through shadows cast, Turn fragile dreams to truths that last. Hard work unlocks each hidden door, Passion fuels the path you tread; With every step, your vision grows, Transforming wishes into bread. Don't recline with hands unjoined, Action’s the spark that lights the fire; Rise and break the chains of slumber, For in motion lies our true desire. I dream to heal as a caring soul, Yet idle dreams will not suffice; I must toil with heart and courage, To earn success through sacrifice. So, pause and truly reflect today, On the life you choose to lead; Ar...

The Loom of Hearts

Introduction: Love is a tapestry woven by many hands—friends, family, and soulmates. This poem reflects on the bonds that shape us, the love that guides us, and the threads that hold us together. In life's vast road, she wandered long, In search of where she might belong; Then four bright souls stepped into view, Their light transforming gray to blue. One heartbeat steady like a drum, A constant guide when days were glum; Its gentle rhythm soothed her pain, Assuring her she'd rise again. A spark of joy, a burst of cheer, Erased the shadows, drew her near; Laughter brightened every night, Turning darkness into light. A friend so strong, a silent shield, In every storm, a steadfast field; Calm resolve amid life's fight, A harbor safe, her guiding light. The final glow, a tender dawn, Made every burden feel withdrawn; Renewing hope within her soul, Restoring parts that once were whole. Yet in her heart, a grief did dwell, A silent ache she’d never tell; She set aside he...

The Flight They Fear

Introduction: Society often fears those who refuse to be caged and hence, tries to put them down. This poem is for the dreamers, the wanderers, and the ones who choose flight over chains. It is a celebration of freedom, of defying expectations, of daring to soar when the world demands you stay grounded. They call me lost, adrift, unmade, A man who lingers, a child who strayed. They whisper names, they shake their heads,  "A boy who walks where grown men tread." My hands still build from sticks and clay,  Yet castles crumble in decay.  I chase the clouds, they chase the clocks,  Their world is measured, built from blocks.  They trade in ledgers, debts, and gold,  Yet lock their dreams in cages cold.  They wear their masks of iron pride,  Yet cracks run deep where fears reside.  "Grow up," they say, "Stand firm, stand tall." But roots too deep can't dance at all.  Their hands grip tight to weight and steel,  Yet wonder why they cease...

The Echoes Of A Broken Shade

Introduction: Some wounds don’t bleed; they linger in echoes, in shattered reflections of who we used to be. This poem speaks of the pieces of ourselves that break but never fully disappear. It is about how the guards are raised when someone is repeatedly shattered but finds that one companion - their shadow to guide them to embrace themselves, Another betrayal struck him today,  A familiar chuckle echoing dismay;  Still haunted by wounds of the past undone,  One more heartbreak was far too much to shun. He sighed as he wandered down the street,  Then spied his shadow at his feet;  For a moment hope stirred within his chest—  This silent friend he trusted best. Yet again his heart was rent in two,  As his shadow, too, broke the truth it knew;  When twilight fell and darkness reigned supreme,  That loyal echo shattered its own dream. Isolated and weary beneath the starry gleam,  He waited while sorrow flowed like a stream;  Tea...

Starved Souls, Silent Hearts

Introduction: Hunger is not always for food. Some souls wander, starving for love, for purpose, for something unseen. This poem speaks of those who live in silence, yearning for what the world refuses to give them. Under midnight’s hush where shadows lament, She cradles grief that feels time‐spent. Her tender heart—fragile and worn— Releases muted sorrows, tattered and torn. The silver moon bears witness to her cries, Casting gentle beams where her anguish lies. Each star inscribes memories in the sky, Murmuring of lost love that has passed by. Her eyes, once bright with promise and spring, Now mirror the ache that sadness can bring. A wistful breeze stirs her disheveled hair, Recalling a passion dissolved into despair. In a quiet garden where forgotten roses droop, Their faded blooms echo a lamenting group. Like abandoned hopes that slowly decay, They vanish to dust as light fades away. She wanders corridors of days long gone, Tracing echoes of steps where love once shone. His laught...

Veiled In Grace: The Bride In His Gaze

Introduction: A bride's beauty is not just in her attire but in the quiet strength and grace she carries. This poem paints a picture of a bride through the admiring eyes of her groom, capturing the emotions of love, reverence, and a life about to begin anew. Adorned in crimson, a dawn reborn, She walks where dreams and grace are sworn. Her eyes—a quiet flame in the night’s hush, Each gaze a whisper, soft as a blush. An angel descended from the skies, Her presence, a celestial art; A radiant soul in mortal guise, With joy that lights each beating heart. No words can capture the beauty she holds, A wonder beyond all mortal art; When she smiles, a story unfolds, A vision that enchants every heart. The vermilion locks crown her head, The gentle chain gracing her neck so fine; And the tender way she meets my gaze, Leaves my spirit in awe, a trembling sign. The thought of her entering my humble home Seems surreal, like a divine surprise; For a simple man, overwhelmed and alone, Her ethe...

The Alchemy Of Words

Introduction:    Words have the power to heal or to wound, to build or to break. This poem is a meditation on the magic of language—how a simple phrase can change a life, mend a heart, or leave a scar that never fades. Words are like arrows, swift and strong, They pierce the heart where they belong. Sometimes fired through screens unseen, Or whispered softly along the street. Yet by the time we feel their sting, It's too late—ache has found its wing. A careless phrase can breed despair, Leaving wounded souls in deep disrepair. But words can heal as well as wound, A tender balm in healing tuned. They mend the broken, lift the low, And help our fragile spirits grow. Consider how a kind remark Can light a flame within the dark; It fills the cracks of life's worn art And soothes the ache within the heart. So, choose your words with mindful care, For every phrase has weight to bear. They hold the power to destroy or heal, To break apart—or help us feel. Let our voices echo kindness...

Welcome to Lyric Haven – A Sanctuary for Poetic Souls

Lyric Haven is more than a blog—it’s a sanctuary where words weave stories, and poetry breathes life into emotions. Each piece reflects a personal exploration of feelings and experiences, with the intention of connecting with readers on a deep and meaningful level. Poetry, for me, is not just about crafting verses but about forging connections with those who find comfort, understanding, and meaning in them. What Inspires My Poetry? Poetry, for me, is a way of putting thoughts into words—a form of self-expression that gives voice to emotions, reflections, and untold stories.  My poems come from a blend of both personal experiences and imagination. Some pieces will explore raw emotions, while others will weave narratives. Inspiration often strikes from the world around me—fragments of conversations, the hush of the night, the echoes of music—all of which find their way into verses that reflect what the heart often struggles to say. Poetic Forms: At Lyric Haven , I embrace a wide rang...
