Spring, Like Us
“Spring, Like Us” is a soft meditation on the transience of beauty, peace, and joy. Using the tender image of spring petals falling on a window sill, the poem invites readers to find comfort in life's fleeting moments and appreciate their quiet strength. Like spring, we arrive, blossom, and fade—yet in our short stays, we offer colors, warmth, and wonder.
The pink petals shower
On the old window sill,
Peacefully and gracefully—
Soothing your mind, they will.
A sense of euphoria,
A tender breath of peace,
The hush that blossoms bring
Makes troubled thoughts cease.
Spring just gets better
As I soak in the sight,
The sweetest of fragrances
And colours so bright.
They come after so long,
But only for a while—
Yet even in passing,
They never fail to beguile.
A fleeting beauty,
A brief, gentle stay,
But oh, the joy they scatter
As they dance and drift away.
Isn’t life just like them—
So short, yet so bright?
Still bringing smiles to faces
After every silent fight.
We bloom, we break,
We rise again each year.
And though we fade,
We always reappear.
Reflection: “Spring, Like Us” leaves behind a gentle truth: that ephemerality doesn’t diminish meaning—it deepens it. Just like spring brings life after harsh winters, we too carry joy even after struggle. The poem reminds us to see value not in permanence, but in presence—that something doesn’t need to last forever to be beautiful. Perhaps, our smiles too, like petals, fall softly but leave the air scented long after we’re gone.
Spring is itself speaking through you.🌱🌸 Truly beautiful.✨
