Introduction (Part 1): There are places that carry the weight of lost love—where every wave, every breeze, reminds us of what once was. This poem explores the quiet ache of nostalgia, of seeing a love fade like footprints in the sand, always there but never quite within reach.

We once sat by the endless shore,
Our silence louder than the waves.
Now even words feel lost at sea,
Trapped in the spaces love once saved.

Your gaze once held a thousand tales,
Each glance a story we both knew.
But now your eyes betray their weight,
A stranger where my solace grew.

The breeze that brushed your whispered thoughts
Now chills me to my very core.
Familiar hands, yet out of reach,
Touch me, but don't hold me anymore.

I see the echoes of our past,
Faint footprints fading with the tide.
déjà vu cuts through my heart,
Where love and loss now coincide.

I search for fragments of your heart,
But time has stolen what we were.
The waves still dance as they once did,
Yet all between us seems a blur.

Your smile once felt like coming home,
A place where all my shadows died.
But now it feels like distant shores,
Where even hope won't dare reside.

You couldn't see tears in my eyes,
Yet you became the one who made me endlessly cry.
An unspoken sorrow lingers between,
A truth we can no longer deny.

I speak, but silence answers back—
A hollow space where warmth once grew.
We share the same unending sea,
Yet feel like worlds apart, me and you.

How cruel that time has brought us here,
To moments both too old, too new.
We meet again where love once lived,
But all that's left is déjà vu.

Still, here I sit beside the waves,
Lost in the ghost of me and you.
